Other Educational Services From The World Owl Trust

We also offer other educational services that will be of interest to schools. These include the following:

Owl activities available in schools:

a) Owls in Class: Capture your pupils’ attention and imagination by bringing wildlife into the classroom: Create interest and get tips on managing a school wildlife garden; make art classes really wild; liven up science lessons; learning about conservation, adaptation or food chains? Sometimes it helps to see things first hand.

b) An Owl Near You: A great activity if you are studying habitats in class.

Do you want to learn about owls in habitats near you? Have a close encounter with an owl and learn all about the way it is adapted to its environment. Discover what owls eat and where they live. Compare different owls and learn about why they are different.

This activity is suitable for ages 4 to 9 years old (School years 1 to 4)
Children will be provided with special sheets to fill in.
This activity lasts 1 hour.
Available on site and in schools.

We can tailor your owl encounter to meet your curriculum needs for any age from reception to A-level. Visits cost £80 plus travel expenses. This covers costs and helps fund our conservation projects.

Owl Adoptions

  • Why not adopt an owl? An owl adoption costs from £20 and depending on which owl you adopt they may even be able to visit your school on an ‘Owls in Class’ trip!

If you need any more help or advice give us a ring. The office is open during normal office hours and our telephone number is 01229 717393.
