On Saturday the 16th of October, Debs Smith managed to do her sponsored skydive on behalf of the World Owl Trust. The jump had originally been scheduled for Friday the 15th of October, but due to low cloud had been cancelled. Because she had to wait around for a long time on Friday, in case the cloud broke up, it was decided to give her priority the following day if she arrived early. On the day Debs was accompanied by her husband Roy, and Sparky the Barn Owl, who together with his handlers Andy Chafe and Wulf Ingham had come down to give her moral support. Debs has managed to raise £2317 on behalf of the World Owl Trust, and I think you’ll agree that this has been a very brave effort.
