We hit the ground running this morning; it food delivery time! The van was waiting for us as we came out of the staff room. This takes priority over everything else, and is a hectic half hour. Following on from that, I went down to the Breeding Ground to do the early morning stock check, and having worked up a serious head of steam filling the ‘walk in’ freezer, I went down in my shirt. I was half way down, when this violent down pour happened, and I had nowhere to shelter. I was soaked to the skin! I was tempted to put on my fleece when I got back up, but ended up ‘air drying’ for a while. This was working quite well, until the nozzle came off one of the hose pipes, soaking me to the skin once more! Oh well, never mind.

Our latest ‘Meet the Birds’ recruits are actually flying free off the creance line, as from last weekend. We will be taking Dusk out to her first ‘Meet the Birds’ today, fingers crossed.
